Good lord. Had forgotten all about this place (such are the distractions of teaching...).
Splendid. Absolutely splendid...

Wow, Just discovered the quotes. Most of these are priceless and they recall some fabulous memories of the place. Superb. Hope you're enjoying the other side of the world, and maybe see you soon...come and sing again...?

If it makes you feel better, I recently spent a while throwing up just because of homemade wine, purely in sympathy with your food poisoning. Honest...

Congratulations on the masters place, and indeed on going to the Andes. I appreciate how frightening it can be - you're much braver than me - but I'm sure it WILL be a great experience for you. Better than M&S anyway...

That doesn't sound very cheery. *Sends love*
I worked in the co-op once, including over Christmas. It wasn't much fun. I take it M&S, despite being a higher class establishment, isn't much better?
Will be back to check the diary updates...

You poor thing, it all sounds horrible [except music teacher/crush/meal offer scenario!]. I am probably sounding sentimental because of far too much wine but I think it's very unfair that talented musicians should have to work at crappy checkouts and I hope you escape soon. If it makes you feel remotely better, I took part in carol singing type busking and it was so cold that I lost all feeling from the thighs down. It was not nice. Have a good xmas!

Ah yes, nothing like being the checkout girl in a supermarket to give you perspective on things. I think everyone should have some kind of retail job in general just so they know that the person behind the register is not a robot!

Happy Belated Birthday! What day was it exactly? I think everyone in the world was born at the end of August, including me (on the 24th), heh.
